The Lab x Investor Forum will bring together investors, National Lab researchers, and DOE staff in a dialogue that explores emerging technologies, market opportunities, and DOE resources.

WHAT IS THE LAB X INVESTOR FORUM? 

The Lab x Investor Forum is a new quarterly series of briefings held at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Menlo Park, CA.  The Forums include deep dives into emerging technologies and markets that are enabled by research at the DOE National Labs.

WHAT ARE THE TARGETED OUTCOMES?  

The Lab x Investor Forum will deepen engagement between VCs and the DOE National Labs.  VCs and other early-stage technology investors will see emerging technologies and gain a greater understanding of the DOE’s commercialization pathways. National Lab and DOE staff will deepen their appreciation of the lab-to-market pathway.

WHAT TOPICS WILL BE ADDRESSED? 

Briefings will focus on emerging technologies enabled by DOE National Lab research like critical minerals and materials, advanced manufacturing, and materials discovery and synthesis.  Cross-cutting themes like artificial intelligence and supply chain analysis will be included as well.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE LAB X INVESTOR FORUM? 

All professional early-stage investors who are interested in emerging technology are welcome.  Each briefing will be followed by a networking reception where attendees will be able to meet and converse with National Lab scientists and DOE staff.
